The Play Caller founding team is led by sports technology entrepreneur Nick Palazzo. Palazzo, a former Harvard football player, previously founded a leading sports media, content and technology business that grew from humble beginnings in his Harvard dorm room to more than 10 million users. The genesis for Play Caller came from Palazzo’s experiences playing fantasy sports with his collegiate teammates who now use fantasy sports as an important means of communicating and sustaining their friendships. While playing in their own private fantasy league (HCB), Palazzo and his friends sought to find the next level of fantasy sports engagement that would enable competition based on in-game, in-play sports predictions or “play-calling” ability. When it didn’t exist, Palazzo sought to create it.
Nick Palazzo subsequently partnered with leaders in the data and technology space to found Play Caller Sports, the industry’s first social in-game, in-play micro-fantasy sports technology platform.
